Step Right Up to the Game of Life

Life doesn't always play fair.

The way we deal with it makes us the people we are.

I'm not sure I've ever written about this topic publicly.

But I share my story as a valentine to other couples who are playing the Carnival Game of Life...and think it might just be rigged against them.

Check out my story over at Oklahoma Women Bloggers today!

  2. Thanks for sharing with OWB. We went through fertility crapola. It's still hard to talk about and read about it--I always love when someone else does!

    1. "fertility crapola" is a nice turn of phrase.

  3. We've talked a lot about this, but reading the post made me realize how little I really knew about your fertility struggles. I mean, I undersood the facts, but over the years your writing has helped me connect to the emotional component. *hugs*

    1. It is something that so few people talk about but so many people deal with.

    1. :) Romance these days is when my hubby goes to the store with the kids so I can write a little. Then, when they return, Max presents me with a bouquet of flowers.

  5. Tears rolling down my cheeks when reading of the two of you slow dancing in the kitchen. True love, vulnerability, sharing one another's heartaches and struggles...beautiful.

    1. Thank you. Our kitchen slow dances now include little hands tugging on our legs and usually turn into a dance party. Love those times.

  6. What a strange coincidence, I stumbled from facebook to your blog today, the due date for my soul sister who has been locked in her own fertility struggle. I sent her a link, and hope she is too busy giving birth to read it today!
