Sometimes it makes you feel important, but it's really not much fun.
Very educational post btw. Who knew chickens have toes? :-)Dee Deehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05075414876444998775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3944030917333154338.post-61522202737995663622013-02-19T13:49:08.633-06:002013-02-19T13:49:08.633-06:00"fledgling attempts" ha! very punny fowl..."fledgling attempts" ha! very punny fowl humor.:)

I dread being the butt of their joke, but I'm pretty sure I already have been. In your defense, my cousin hosts an adult egg hunt every Easter. It's an absolute blast! I think it's less about pecking order than the development of their sense of humor. I think children help adults remember how to play. Sadly, you almost always have to play the straight face. Their fledgling attempts at humor depends on a straight (serious) guy, that's you. You'll worry more when THEY start playing the straight guy.

Seriously,

A wise old Aunt Nita

P.S. I'll never forget my niece and nephews' last Easter Egg Hunt staged by Aunt Nita, the super Aunt. They played along until I finally realized, uh oh, they're too old for an Easter Egg Hunt. I'm the butt of a joke I staged. They had grown up while I turned my head for just a moment it seemed. Pecking order isn't important anymore. I just feel blessed if I hear from them a time or two every year.Annita Rackleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15865288532868095332noreply@blogger.com
